Counseling Office

As counselors, our mission is to prepare students academically, socially, and spiritually for lives of leadership, faith, and service. We offer personal guidance and college preparation in a nurturing environment for all students in our diverse population. Our goals are to help students reach his or her highest potential by bridging the gap from middle school to high school to college, through developing a healthy sense of self and relationships with others, and by motivating each student to achieve short term and long term goals for college and career. Peer Counseling

Peer_Counseling_Logo

Peer counselors are a group of students that come together to help their fellow students deal with issues that they are facing in their lives each day. A peer counselor is there to help a student that may be dealing with issues with their family, drugs/alcohol addiction, abuse, divorce, peer pressure, or relationships. All peer counselors must keep all counseling sessions confidential unless the student is harming him or herself, or harming others. The peer counselors must show honor, good character, trustworthiness, fairness, honesty, listening skills, faithfulness, dependability, and sympathy, as well as help the student make good decisions and explore new possibilities.
