KDF will be in NYC on Thursday and Friday of this week. The girls will be participating in classes in different studios in the city and one of those classes will be a two hour intensive with the Rockettes along with a one hour Q&A session/mock tryout. The girls are super excited for this opportunity! KDF Try Out Informational Meeting will take place on Thursday, February 21 at 5:30 PM in the MKCHS Cafeteria.
You may be aware or not that our tuition only covers about 75-80% of our costs and expenses. The Advancement Department has been hard at work finding grants that will give our students the extras not budgeted for this year. We recently received grants for Kelly’s Band to order new custom made uniforms, our Math Department will have an opportunity for some professional development by attending The Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching this summer and the Science Department just had all of their microscopes cleaned and maintained for the first time in 10 years!
Monday, February 18 is President’s Day. The Catholic schools in the Diocese will have a staff In-Service Day. Students will have a holiday, while teachers will meet at Kelly High School for professional development.
Skills for Life CPR Class will be held on Tuesday, February 19 in the Creative Works Building for junior and senior students. Classes will be from 10-11 AM and 11:30 – 1:30 PM. Students will become certified in CPR and First Aid. Please encourage your child to register!
All sophomores and their parents are invited to attend the Sophomore Counseling Meeting on February 19 at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria. The counselors will share information about course selection and individual academic success for next year. We will also share a brief demonstration of the new online registration process. More info will be shared at the Freshman Counseling Meeting on March 19.
Please mark your calendars for the following events on campus! The Winter and Spring Sports Pep Rally will be on Wednesday, February 20 at 2:45 PM and the Multicultural Festival on Tuesday, February 26. The event starts at 5 PM and will be held in the MKCHS Centennial Complex for an evening of diversity!
