Dear Parents, Students, and Friends of Kelly,
I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break and that you were able to take some time to reflect upon all the blessings and gifts God has provided for you and our community. In today’s culture, we often focus on the things we want or don’t have and tend to forget about the things we do. We are truly blessed.
Next week begins the season of Advent; the time set aside by the Church to spend time preparing for Christmas. It can be a wonderful time of prayer, contemplation, and quiet to better appreciate the true miracle and gift of our Lord. I encourage you to take time to reflect upon this great gift more fully.
Congratulations to Paloma Martinez and Juliana Renfro. Both are Kelly seniors who recently signed their letters of intent to compete athletically in college. Paloma will be playing soccer at Lamar University and Juliana will be playing softball at Weatherford College.
Our 1st semester is rapidly drawing to a close.
