Peer Counseling

Peer counselors are a group of students that come together to help their fellow students deal with issues that they are facing in their lives each day. A peer counselor is there to help a student that may be dealing with issues with their family, drugs/alcohol addiction, abuse, divorce, peer pressure, or relationships. All peer counselors must keep all counseling sessions confidential unless the student is harming him or herself, or harming others. The peer counselors must show honor, good character, trustworthiness, fairness, honesty, listening skills, faithfulness, dependability, and sympathy, as well as help the student make good decisions and explore new possibilities.
