Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School is excited to share the news that Albert Nolen, a proud Kelly Alumnus, will be dedicating his time as a volunteer college admissions counselor on campus. He will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the enrichment period, from 9:45 am to 10:25 am.
Albert Nolen holds two bachelor’s degrees in sociology and secondary education from Lamar University. In 1975, he achieved a master’s degree in special education and is certified as an educational diagnostician and counselor, with additional certifications in management and administration. Mr. Nolen played a significant role at Angie Nall Hospital, contributing to groundbreaking initiatives for teaching students with learning disabilities. Subsequently, he joined the La Porte Independent School District faculty, where he served for nearly 30 years, eventually becoming the lead counselor before his retirement in 2011.
With his extensive background and commitment, we look forward to the positive impact he will have on guiding our students through the college admissions process.
