Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School Staff

Let's give a warm welcome our new French Teacher, Sassy Kerr!

Ms. Sassy Kerr comes to Kelly with more than 41 years of experience in teaching science, history, and foreign languages. She has sponsored state-winning TMSCA science teams for multiple years. She has mentored numerous student teachers over the years for Lamar University, as well as been named Mentor Teacher of the Year for Region V. Ms. Kerr has spoken at the state convention for administrators and conducted

teacher workshops for mentor teachers at Texas A&M Texarkana. She received a Bachelor of Science in History and Secondary Education, as well as post-bachelor work in School Administration. After retiring from public education, she worked at St. Edward in Spring, retiring from there as well, and is Catechist certified in the Diocese of Galveston-Houston. Ms. Kerr began college as a language major and is most excited to return to those roots.

On a personal note, she was a competitive skater in artistic figure skating, freestyle, and pairs at a national level, which helps her understand the importance of sports and a well-rounded education. She is excited to return to teaching French and to become a French Bulldog. Go Dawgs!
