EAVES IN 12TH after ROUND 1 TAPPS 5A Girls State Championship Erin Eaves of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School is the only girl or boy for the Bulldogs to advance to state. Yesterday was the first round of the TAPPS 5A Girls State Championship. Eaves shot 86 the first round with a 9 on the last hole to finish 12th after an impressive first round. The championship is unfolding at Squaw Valley Golf Club in Glen Rose, Texas, near Fort Worth, where competitors face the added challenge of navigating a course saturated from earlier rainfall. Despite these obstacles, Eaves played well positioning herself for a top 10 finish. Leading in the individual girls, Jamison Louie of Fort Bend Christian leads the field, while Lutheran South sets the pace in the team standings with a score of 348 for the girls. As the championship progresses, all eyes are on Eaves and her fellow competitors as they prepare for the final round. With only the top 10 finishers earning all-state honors. The final round concludes today starting at 8am! Good luck Erin!!

Today, our school community was deeply inspired by Bishop Toups during our weekly all-school Mass. His homily reminded us of our divine calling to share our unique talents and gifts, no matter how big or small, with those in need. We are called to be the light in the darkness, bringing hope and compassion to others. At MKCHS we are incredibly blessed to be part of a school where we can put this calling into action through our service and community projects. Thank you, Bishop Toups, for leading us today in Mass and for guiding us every day in our community. Your words have inspired us to continue shining our light brightly and making a positive difference in the lives of others. #WeAreMKCHS #GoDawgs

Their commitment to making a difference in our community shines brightly, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments!
